Zenieth carb. has no vacuum for vacuum advance line.

The vehicle seems to run fine, but I have no vacuum on that line/port. I noticed this problem when I installed the pointless ignition. It is obviously plugged, or maybe the carburetor is warped causing a leak before the line, but it is strange the vehicle seem to run fine. I am just being a geek and wondering if anyone else has run into the same scenario.

If you have your dist advance hose on the right port of the carb, it will only have vacuum when you open the throttle. Thus you're finding it runs fine, as is. If you have full vacuum at start up, the dist would be fully advanced most of the time. You're just being a geek, I would imagine...

That makes complete sense! The genius light doesn't always turn on right away.
