    Hose part #?

    This heater hose finally went south, does anyone have a part number? Here is a picture

    The local auto parts should have what you need, just take in the old one and match it up.

      So far they've all looked really confused when I show them a hose with different diameter ends.

          Methinks not. This is the fat hose that goes between the thermostat bypass housing and the water pump.

            If you order up a foot of 1/2" ID silicone hose, cut a 4 inch length. It'll stretch over the 5/8 adapter, and easily fit the 1/2 inch heater valve. It'll out live the engine. And probably you too.

              I might have to give the silicone hose route. Other than that we haven't had much luck!
