    First Drive!!

    Hi All,
Been working on her for five months and took the first drive today! '60 Series II SWB
I am new here, but as you all probably know it is pretty awesome to drive them for the first time! Thanks for all your help out there on this project. Alot more to go of course.
Crazy bumper holds two Jerry Cans and will be shopping for a top and new tires shortly.
    Thanks for looking, Matt

Must be an Aussie Rover as it is upside down. Even the lights are on top of the fenders(wings).

Ah, I remember my first drive. It was a hair raising experience! Once I got the hang of it for about a week, I could actually relax, and truly enjoy the experience. Keep driving my friend, keep driving!
Bad gas mileage gets you to some of the greatest places on earth.

          Congratulations!

          This thread got me thinking...

I can't remember my first drive in my first rover at all. Nothing. Nada.

Strangely, I clearly remember my first "limp home" in my first series rover. Blown brake line--drove it 10 miles home with little/no brakes. Stupid teenager.
