Are the front and rear differential pumpkins (chunks) interchangeable?

yes, with the caveat that some front diffs don't have a fill plug and thus will not work in a rear application.

yea, neither front or rear rrc's have fill plugs on the 3rd mbr, they're on the diff covers. i solved that problem by jacking up the right rear side, removed the hub and axle and poured the spec amount in. i still have to do it that way even after put a iia 3rd mbr back on, the fill plug is a bit rounded off.Last edited by scott; 09-04-2007, 08:54 PM.'64 Series IIA 88 Canvas Tilt
