    Front and Rear Differential Pumpkin

Are the front and rear differential pumpkins (chunks) interchangeable?

I think they are, but just wanted a second opinion.

yes, with the caveat that some front diffs don't have a fill plug and thus will not work in a rear application.

A Land Rover would never turn up to collect an Oscar. It'd be far too busy doing something important, somewhere, for someone."

yea, neither front or rear rrc's have fill plugs on the 3rd mbr, they're on the diff covers. i solved that problem by jacking up the right rear side, removed the hub and axle and poured the spec amount in. i still have to do it that way even after put a iia 3rd mbr back on, the fill plug is a bit rounded off.
