    My Lightweight restoration

Hello, I'm new here and I'd like to share my Land Rover Lightweight (Ligero)
All I have to do is put in a 5 speed gear box, which I have. I had to put everything on hold; baby on the way and I ran out of funds.

      Wow. Air-portable AND Santana! Nice.

I suspect you don't live in my neighborhood.

Really. I had a whole different continent in my imagination, based on the pics of your rovers.

            Looks great!
Though, Santanas aren't Land Rovers. Some would say that in many ways they are a bit better made.

Made with better bits, mostly. Looks nice, I am going to retract my statement if that dash is stock though. That and the thought of mykids randomly yankin fuses yelling bombs away as they fly out...

The dash is stock. We scrapped everything off of it and painted it. The fuse cover was broken so we fabricated one.

Do you have any articles or supporting information about this? I love driving them and would love to read up on them a bit more

The Wikipedia article is a good start. After that just start googling.
Santana nabbed a deal to build vehicles under license from Land Rover back in the 1960s. They are a Spanish company. They still make trucks today that resemble Defenders.
