    Gear Oil

Soliciting feedback as to which brand(s) of GL4 gear oil owners recommend using and who are currently the best sources? I need to top off both differentials in my Series III. Thanks

GL4 isn't that critical in the diffs. There are no yellow metals to corrode so you could even use GL5 (though Rover diffs aren't hypoid so they don't really need it). It isn't a transmission with bronze synchros so it really doesn't need a Manual Transmission Fluid. You'll find no end of opinions when it comes to these oils and grease- just pick a decent name brand of correct weight and go with it.

For your transmission use Stalube GL4 or similar.

This makes life easier because there is plenty of GL4, GL5 gear oil around. I will grab some Stalube GL4 as well.
        Thanks much for both replies.
