    SIIa seat thingamabob

What the heck is this thing for? The seat shown is the lower right inside. Screwdriver is pointing to the mounting bracket for something. Same bracket is on the left side.

What is this? It is not being used, I am replacing old seats with new replacements.

    Thanks

    Jeff

There are small rubber stops that go in those holes to help support the seat backs.

What JIM-ME said, Push stops to support the lower part of the seat.

If you ever plan to install high back seats I hear you will need to use these to help anchor the seat.

        Ok....so

..I am guessing there was something missing off the old seats that hit the bracket. Perhaps an "L" shaped bracket that attached to seat back and would contact this missing rubber stop. Now that I think of it, the upper seat backs always rested against the front of the tub.

Does someone have a pic of the seat back showing what was supposed to be there? The new seats have nothing there either.

        Thanks,

        Jeff
