I am looking for feedback from anyone who has purchased and installed the Reproduction Carburetor sold by Rovers North. Part Number in their catalog is PLC959. I have a 1974 Series III - Model 88 which I have owned since new, and much prefer to keep the vehicle as stock as possible. I'm thinking about purchasing the replacement carburetor and wondered what others have experienced with it. Thanks

I purchased one to replace my Solex 361v (it's really a Zenith) as I did not want to bother with doing a rebuild right before I was to use the truck to drive away from my wedding last fall.
It bolts right up and runs great. The adjustments for the idle speed and low end mixture have sleeves over them which take some getting used to as you can't see which direction to put the screw driver in, but it keeps the screw driver from sliding out while adjusting. I'd definitely buy it again.
If you want a Solex to rebuild, make me an offer.1976 RHD Series 3 - SOLD

I put one on my IIa 88" instead of the wonky Weber, definitely more power, less re-adjustments, still has a heasitation if you accelerate hard going up a long hill, all in all a good upgrade and definitely worth the expense and time.
