    LR Series 2 Wheels locked

Just purchased a 1960 Series 2 and both rear wheels will not spin. One wheel is completely locked and the other moves maybe an inch or so clockwise ans anticlockwise.

I removed the drum on one thinking it was rusted but still no luck.

    Any thoughts.

    Thanks.

Do they spin when you disconnect the rear driveshaft from the rear differential? If so, your problem is from the transfer case forward. If not, the issue lies aft of the rear driveshaft.

Pull off the drive flange from the hub on one side and with that wheel jacked up does it now turn? If so the problem might be in the rear diff. Pull out both inner axles and see if 1 is broken. At this point with the boxes in neutral can you spin the rear propshaft by hand? If broken pull the diff out and get the rest of it out. Clean up diff and axle housing buy new inner axles and put it all back together.
