How are the demister/defroster hoses attached

I'm thinking about replacing the hoses for the defroster / demister on my 1970 IIA. The ones I have now are functional but are cracking. Before I pull them off, though, could someone explain (or post a photo) of how they attach at the bottom to the heater box? Are the just stuck onto a tube at the base, or is there something more complex with other parts that'll need replacing?

    Hose clamp. Simple to remove.

You just push them onto the two upright tubes on the top of the heater box. Clamping them is fine, but you may not need to - I have the same setup (1970) and the originals are just press-on.

Mine are also just pushed on. They work fine for me without hose clamps.

Thanks. That's what I was hoping.
