ne know how to go about getting the history on my truck ? I purchased it, but the previous owner really knew nothing about it and I would like to know more about it..

Is it a North American import, from 1972-74?
Either way, the best available route would be to start with the British Motor Heritage Museum, in Gaydon UK :-
With the VIN, they can supply build date and where the Dealer was when the vehicle was first shipped.
Other than members on here who may have had the vehicle pass through their hands, not sure what else can be gained.
