Where can I find a snorkel for 1961 series II Rover?

I am restoring a 1961 series II Land Rover 109 with a Chevy inline 6 cylinder motor. I want to put a snorkel on it but not sure where to find one? I see a bunch on ebay for later model Defender and Discovery. I wonder if I could customize the defender one to work?

Presuming you want to stay authentic, the trick is finding a raised air intake oil bath air filter assembly that won't cost you your first born male son plus $200 to sweeten the deal.

IIRC, Jason (I Leak Oil) modified a normal oil bath to be a raised intake type. Perhaps he'll post up a pic or two of his setup.

Looks like prior owner made a number of modifications to front end. Head lights have been moved out to wings like later models, etc... I will try and post some pictures at some point.

Ha!--I didn't even notice that he said he was putting a GM 6 in there. And here I was talking about whether he wanted to have an authentic oil bath filter...

Any one have any experience/knowledge of the Holden 6's, as fitted in Australian Series vehicles?

All I did was replace the straight air tube with a new 90 degree tube that comes in from the side of the housing. Welded a round plate on top to cover the original hole, welded the new tube in place. The rest is just academic plumbing.
