    Valve Adj on 2.6

Trying to help a friend with his valve adjustment on a 2.6. Never worked on a 2.6 before, but I've adjusted valves for the last 35years on various 911's that I have owned, and wondering if I can follow the same principle. Start at #1 TDC ON COMPRESSION, adjust #1, then rotate crank 120 degrees clockwise and continue to adjust in firing (162435) order (COLD)??

Is there any valve overlap that I need to be concerned about that is unique to this engine?

Not sure about any overlap issue

exhaust value 5 and 6 are very hard to get to.

remove the dipstick for more room..

Reach out to Bud on Gunsandrover about you overlap issue or RPGreg2600 on are host list. I think Greg has worked of 2.6L engines like Bud

I have 2.6.l Weslake Head running. One in Blue and the other in Tan

20/50 oil. Change every 3500 miles or one year.

What year is his Land Rover?

      thanks for the response....

Anyone know about using the same procedure that I use on my 930? Is there anything different/unique about the 2.6?

Bud on the gunsandrover list set my values on both
of my 1967 land rover 109 nada with 2.6 l engine

greg has a very rare one of these 109.

        not sure if he still
        has the 2.6 l engine

both could help you with your question
