    Series 11 starving of fuel

I have a 59 Series. Cold start up is fine but as soon as the vehicle is at operating temp and is then turned off the fuel drains backwards and is nearly impossible to start again.
It has a Weber Carb which was on it when I purchased. Any ideas?

What do you mean by this? How do you know? What is the outdoor temperature when this happens? Is it a hot day?

itll do it more often on a hotter day but has also happened in winter. When the vehicle has been running a while (190 deg) and I turn it off the fuel in the inline filter drains back tward the tank. The only way to re prime the system is to place my hand over the carb and turn it over a couple of times. Also if I sit at idle for a bit itll do the same.

The carb has a fuel bowl that should hold enough fuel to start the engine and allow it to re-prime the fuel line while running. Is the float set properly? Any air leaks, etc... May be a good idea to look at the carb and put a rebuild kit to work on it.
