Great photos! What is the story behind the 130 (?) inch Series IIA? Looks like a well-built conversion.

              It was!
              Custom frame, massive!
              Ford motor and trans
Coil springsin the front and leaves in the back if I remember correctly.
And I believe they were Ford axles as well.

Even the roof center section was made.
That rig had to go about 6000 lbs.

I really liked the galvinized late Series IIa door hinges!
              I'm doing this to mine.

Nice photos, Les. Did anyone videotape the tech sessions? Would be great to post them on YouTube.

Still drooling over the Crew Cab...what a cool and authentic looking rig.

I didn't know Land Rover's could fly! Was this an official air portable drop? Let us in on how you took these - great photos BTW (hope you don't mind me posting the photo directly here) Thanks!

Land Rovers can't fly, but I can :-)

I went out flying the day before the event and did some aerial recon. I was hoping there might already be a few people there camping out and I think there were, but they were so far in the shadows in one corner I could not get them in a photo.
