I went to change a tire today with an OEM style bottle jack with the cradle on top. I put it under the axle tube just inside of the leaf spring. But at its maximum height, it still doesn't lift a fully inflated tire off the ground. So where should I put it?

That's what I ended up doing. But I'm surprised that the jack alone wasn't enough. What type of jack was originally provided with Series trucks and how tall was it when collapsed and fully extended?1970 Series IIA
