windshield door seals supposed to fit?

I just purchased 2 new door seals that attach to the front windshield. Part # 395672

This is the link of the roversnorth site

Are these supposed to actually fit a 1973 land rover series III 88. Or am i Supposed to cut to fit and redrill a couple holes?

    Thanks

I would expect some "fitting". RN warned me of this when I purchased some door seals from them.

I have been told that on the production line they just kind of drilled in what seemed to be the right spot and riveted it on. Probably back then they just had strips with no 'pre-positioned' spot on the seals so it didn't matter much. Now that they come with pre-positioned spots that do not (unless you are quite lucky) line up at all with the holes that you have.
