Series top v. Defender top (Help)

Does anyone know if a Defender Pick up top will work on a Series IIA?

Since the windshield frame is quite different, I'd doubt it. Can't say offhand about the measurements from the rear bulkhead(behind the seatbox), etc.
Others have mounted Def windshield frames on Series 3 bulkheads.

Good point. That leads to the question, does anyone know how to distinguish a series pick up top from a defender pick up top? The is not on a vehicle.

The bottom lip series pick-up top should be completely flat all the way around. I believe that a Defender pick-up top should have a 'cut-out' for the windshield

If you were to set the top of the cab on the ground the series top would rest on the entire perimeter. The defender unit would rest only on three sides because the defender windshield is taller and the cab is recessed at the front to accomidate it. The defender units also have some ribbing/pressing whereas the series cars are smooth. The rear glass is different although the backs are interchangeable. The interior trim is different as well. You can fit a defender cab to a series with the use of the defender windshield. They are dimensionally the same width/length/height.
