    Fuel cap for underseat tank

Where can I get a cap for an underseat tank. It is not the normal one that is on the other underseat tank. The filler neck has four prongs and is complete different than the other tank. This tank was replaced by a prior owner. It currently has a standard military fuel cap but it does not seal.
    Thanks
    Stacy.

I'm not sure what you are saying. The previous owner changed the tank, but not the cap? or changed the tank and the cap? Is it the correct cap for the tank but not sealing? or is it an incorrct cap and not sealing?

If the cap is correct maybe you just need a new rubber seal or to bend the latching prongs on the cap just a little? Can you tell if both your fuel caps take the same diameter seal?

Nice rig, a picture of the filler neck would help. This lightweight looks familiar, did it come out of Wenatchee?

            Wrong cap

I think what happened was with the military vehicles the General Service and FFR had different fillers and caps. The Lightweight parts manual has 2 listed. My truck was FFR but I think the new tank might be for a GS vehicle and the prior owner just replaced the tank and not the cap. I'll post some photos today.

            Thanks

Yes it did come from Wenatchee

I picked it up about 2 weeks ago. I replaced the top with a tropical roof and put some rear benches that are tear free. I'm moving to hawaii and had to sell my SIIA because of a bad frame. I couldn't bear the thought of being in Hawaii with out a Series vehicle.

                Hello there,
Some of the early Ex-MOD vehs. have the same filler cap as the Series I 86" and 107" vehs.
The part number is 231189 and Rovers North has stock on these for $21.42.
                Please advise.......

                  Crude drawing of filler neck

This is what the filler neck looks like when looking into the tank. There is also the tube that pulls up for Jerry cans. The cap I have grabs on the outside edge like this one. I think the part number is 569006. http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL207.../293953548.jpg
