The red one came from Lander Wyoming Sold new from the Land Rover dealer there, Hallem Motors. I think I take it for granted that for the most part people in Wyoming are honest and dont try to get one over on people..... It seems like there are alot of people out there that have been burned. I would invite anyone out there to come on out at take a look at my Rover collection, some nice others in bits!

            My two cents...

I searched for well over 10 months for my rover. Drove alot, some I loved (too $$$), others were rust buckets, some were decent but not what I was looking for. As I travel alot for my biz, I was able to go across country to see and test drive. Actually I found Craigslist.org a very good site as you can narrow your search and check all over the country.

As I am from Canada (B.C.) we seem to have a fair amount of good old series around. The british military has been bringing Rovers over for many years in their training excercises in the praires so if you get lucky you can pick one of these up.

Be patient, sitck to your model, but be open to other series as well.

            Cheers

PS. Also check out Rover clubs around the country as this is a "fantastic" resource both in potential vehicles for sale, but as a resouce these guys are invaluable.

Larry Higby was his name, he died about 3 years ago. I bought all but one that hs wife will not sell. Bill Hallem sold that little green one to someone in Colorado. It would have been a nice one to have. The blue one sure has seen some better days. I was a nice truck in its day but has now been rode hard and put away wet too many times. I have another body to put in that frame and make a truck out of it again. It still has a nice bulkhead and frame, thats the thing with the trucks here. We get an average of 11 inches of moisture a year here and they dont use anything but sand on the roads.
