    Wiper Switch Wiring

    Hey all,

Having difficulty deciphering correct wiring for wiper motor and switch. I have a brand new switch (Model #: PLE809) and 2 speed motor (Model #: PLE652). The wiring on the male plug is pre-existing. Unsure if factory or modified. There seems to be a light-blue/green wire coming from tab 3 which does provide a higher wiper speed when connected on the male plug but I can't find this on any wiring diagrams. There is also a brown/green wire coming from tab 2 on the male plug which I do see in the diagrams although it seems to be carrying power TO the switch instead of FROM the switch. The setup outlined below does give me 2 speeds but I'm left with nowhere to connect wire #2 and the motor also does not self park when switched off. Any help here would be greatly appreciated

    Current wiper switch setup:
    1. power in (green)
    2. low speed (red/green)
    3. high speed (light blue/green)
    4. empty
    5. washer motor (green/black)
    Switch positions:
    1. Off (power only to tab1)
    2. low speed (power to tab 1, 2, and 4)
    3. still low speed (power to tab 1, 2, 3, and 4)
    4. high speed (power to tab 1, 2, and 4)
    5. washer motor when plunger pressed in (power to tab 1 and 5)

I am trying to identify if I have the right setup here.
    1. ground (black)
    2. unknown (brown/green)
    3. high speed (light blue/green)
    4. power (green)
    5. low speed (red/green)

    • 1 to 4 (ground to power in)
      • this makes sense as there should always be continuity between these

Only the later trucks had two speed wipers, so most of the wiring diagrams don't sow them. The park function is by park switch contacts on the wiper motor itself, and the green power wire on your 5 spade wiper motor plug supplies the power for the motor to park. The following link is for a Triumph two speed wiper motor circuit, but the wiring and motor are essentially identical.
