    EFI Conversion, Fuel Supply

Hi, I'm converting my '62 2.25L Series 2a to EFI using the Holley 1100 Autolite system, and am looking for advice on fuel line pickup location. I'm going to use an external pump and was thinking of tapping into the original steel supply line that exits at the top of the tank, but am not sure if the pump will like that as I understand that the pump should ideally be gravity fed and fuel should be supplied from the bottom of the tank. Has anyone made this conversion and used the original lines as the source to the pump, or did you install a sump or install new fittings near the bottom of the tank? Thank you.

I installed a Holley EFI on my 2.25 and used the original gas tank pickup tube at the top of the tank with an 1/4" BSP to 3/8" hose adapter to connect the 3/8 fuel hose. I used an original diesel return tube with the same adapter for the return line to the tank. I haven't had any problems with the external pump inline except that its loud.

Thanks! I will give that a try then.

don't put it on the bottom of the tank, it'll get wiped off the first time you drive over some brush!
