LBZ EGR Delete from EGR Performance – Worth It for Daily Driving and Towing?

    Hello everyone.

Has anyone installed the LBZ EGR Delete kit from EGR Performance on a daily-driven Duramax? I’m researching the benefits and possible downsides before making a purchase. I’ve been reading reviews about improving airflow, lowering EGTs, and reducing soot buildup, and I’m considering getting an LBZ EGR Delete from EGR Performance for my truck soon.

Did you notice any gains in throttle response, fuel economy, or overall reliability after the installation?

I’d also like to know how difficult the install was and whether tuning adjustments were necessary afterward.

Any long-term issues, check engine lights, or towing performance improvements would be helpful to hear about.

it's possible no one owns a Duramax on a Land Rover forum but considering what a stock duramax has I'd think it hard to improve on much?

I recently completed an EGR removal on my Series II, following some similar conversations here. Initially, I was concerned about the impact on daily driving and towing. However, following the change, I noticed a big improvement in throttle response and overall performance on my weekend outings. If you use your vehicle for heavy towing, like I do, I highly recommend it—just be aware of local emissions limits!
