Nice doggie!.
Your passenger has the same 'I'm smiling because we ain't movin.' look on her face that my wife gets when I run her around in the 101. I've had her stripped down for the last couple of years.
Admittedly she hasn't had to contend with snow in Phoenix. It's usually not as cold but just a little more windy up there. My malamute has to ride in the crate becuase she is very social and tends to want to get out of the truck at inconvenient moments to visit other drivers.
Cheers

stripped down
Gregor, I've never mentioned this before but I think you are a little crazy for driving a 101, and I dig that. You are a true believer.
I think I passed your 101 on the 10 south at McCartney road in about 1998. Must have been you, I mean how many guys in Southern AZ drive the damn things!

Here is a shot of mine in Maine yesterday. Luckily the sheet of slushy ice fell down after I got off the highway and right next to a lot in Yarmouth that I could pull into before my windshield got completely covered.
Thank God I have the new blower motor for my Kodiak coming in tomorrow!!1958 107 SW - Sold to a better home

Momo,
101's are just fun. For their size they command a lot of respect on the road, the large plastic SUV's get out the way and the LR dealership just about called the police when I rolled in there one day. My mate with his Porsche still can't understand why it gets more female attention than his car. I tell him that the smell of hot gear oil is a natural female stimulant
I have the green virus and originally wanted to get the 101 as a daily runabout and bring in a Stolly MKII as my toy. My wife mentioned divorce at that point but consented to the SIIA instead just so I would always have a running vehicle.
Mine has reached a point that it needed some deep surgery on the engine and electrical system to bring her back up to snuff again but it's all part of the fun. It has the side benefit of making the SIIA seem easy to keep - it just keeps taking a licking and rumbling along.
Cheers

Ah you have discovered my other great love. You can't beat a good coffee pot Scammell and the Explorer is the most beautiful of them all.
There was one on Milweb last month for about 7kGBP. I was very tempted!

The seats are Exmoor. If you decide to buy from them be prepared for a protracted ordering process and the possibility of sending them back several times unti you get what you want. My experience with the Series was very good the experience with my Defender was a complete disaster.
That being said they are of fantatic quality and Series owners come running when they see them.Comment

Eric, as long as you have a bar right there at your inn, you can ride around without a top. Those of us who must make it home first before we can warm up with an Old Speckled Hen need a top!
