    The step up provides clearance for the mechanical brake cross bar. Maybe its a RHD vs LHD thing?

      tool box

      Mine is more like a swimming pool. It is mostly flat with a gradual up-ward incline about 2/3 of the way back. It also came off of a military SIIA Santana that was in Saudia Arabia.

        just wanted to bump this thread back up

        i've misplaced my usb cable for my camera, so if i can track it down this weekend i will post the pics i took of my tray. thanks for hanging in there friends

          Well, I saved myself about $175 and made a center seat tool box, as several suggested. Just finished - it's not pretty, but it serves its purpose...
