Driving a Rover in a Blizzard

Man, there's nothing like it. Up until now, this truck has been a summer-only (always concerned w/ salt) vehicle - this past weekend I got to drive it up in NH in a large snowstorm, and it was great - unstoppable even with its road tires that I haven't changed out yet. (excuse the image quality - it's cameraphone)

    before the storm:

during (food and beer run taking the backroads):

    destination reached!

Its even better if you beat the plows. Then it's really a blast.

the backroads had been plowed, but not for a decent amount of time so there was a good deal of snow to go through. I'm not sure my tires are good enough to go through the deep, deep stuff yet

ps - I just realized from the images I was parked in a handicapped spot - oops

I am Always impressed with the way my Series III HAndles the Way-Upstate-New York Snows, Spend two Hours a day driving through some Horrific country roads too and from Work and have had no real problem except in heavy Ice. Added a truck bed bladder to the back to help keep the rear wheels in contact with the road better and other then the 7.50X16's Being Heavily Biased towards Mud have liked the way they dig me through heavy drifts and the empty country fields I sometimes frequent in my quest for 4-wheeling adventure...
