    1969 Series IIa lug nuts

I've just started restoring a 1969 RHD Series IIa. I removed the wheels to have them sand-blasted and painted before getting new tires.

The existing lug nuts are 15/16" wrench size. Are the threads on the 1 1/16" wrench size lug nuts the same?

Meaning, could I replace the lug nuts I have, with 1 1/16"?

    Thanks in advance.

    No problemo.

I have done this to all my Rovers. The 1-1/16" lug nuts are so much better. However, you must purchase the right nut. The 1-1/16" nuts with the correct thread size were only made for a few years 69-71 I think, and they are alot more expensive. The SIII 1-1/16" nuts will not work.

      Thanks, jp-

I guess I'll order just one, and check the threads, before ordering the other 19.

Keep in mind that a rear Salisbury differential will have SIII style threads.
