    Fender Flares

Anyone have any suggestions on these? I guess since my rig is a hybrid with a D90 axle setup, the wheels come out past the body just enough to throw rocks up the side of the body/off the windows, etc. Just checking to see if anyone has these. Not sure that I would like the look but the more i drive the rover, the more I realize it could use something like these. I'm just afraid it would take away from the original body look.

    Opinions? Thoughts?

D90 flares would finish your truck nicely. KevinNY's hybrid has these and it looks right.

90 flares would be a lot of work, the shape of the wheel arch is different

You could use the outer wing skins from a early defender then use the defender flares. I think BP used to sell flares for a series, might check with them.

Here is a picture showing an early Defender outer wing panel and a Series outer wing panel. The early European panel doeesn not come with holes for side lights. I cut the hole for the Kodiak heater inlet.

This is a genuine LR panel I purchased from BP. I've had the cheaper after market wing panels before and have experienced fatigue cracks and they dent way too easily. The flares bolt into the wheel arch flange.

              Here is another comparison:

The tyres on my Land Rover are 33.3" dia, the wheels are Discovery I steel wheels (7" wide). And yes that's a horizontal Donaldson air filter and pre-cleaner.

You would need to cut your rear wheel arch & add a flange to fit rear Defender wheel arches.

thanks everyone. I appreciate the tips. Anyone have any pictures of a series rig with flares already installed?

The ones on that ECR page look to be Defender.

Here are some pics of the Series flares:

These look decent on that truck, but I recall seeing a white Series with stock tires, and they didn't look good at all with the skinny rubber. I can't find that photo now, but will post if I come across it again.
