    109 Tub

My 1962 109 IIA FFR Tub was butchered by some PO in the past. I now have a Pick Up top and need an unbutchered tub. Does anyone within striking distance of the state of South Carolina have a 109 tub they will part with for a price? Know someone who might? Any help much appreciated.

Cristina Calado and Ben Smith bought some of the ex mod 109s from Skytop Rover. They might have a tub for sale.

You may want to try Sean Jones- he's a great, honest guy who was starting a Series Land Rover repair/parts shop in the Asheville, NC area as of a few years ago. I can't remember the name of his shop and it's been a while since I've spoken with him...hopefully he's still in business doing well. The last email I had for him was: jones.sean@worldnet.att.net

Give him a try- if he's unable to help you with a tub he may have some resources to refer you to. There's always TLR, which is in your region.

Is this Sean? This one is located in Asheville, and might be his shop?

I checked out the website and it doesn't look like it's him. I'll look through my old contact book and see if there's a way I can contact him to make sure he's still in business. When I lived there about 5 years ago he was just getting started out and I was hopeful he'd be able to keep things going. He basically cleaned out an old shop that closed called Harrel's in Waynesville, NC- and he had all sorts of body parts and cool NOS items in their original boxes.

I'm curious about your tub. I have an 73 109 Ex-MOD softtop in SoCal. Do you have any more pics?

                Thanks,
                Franz

Here a link to my pictures before and during tear down. This should give you a good general idea.
