Have you tried to get a child on the seat in front of you, wife on the back, dog on the deck at your feet and 4-6 grocery bags on the handle bars? After living in Sicily for 5 years I stopped being astonished by this. Same with 5 sumo size Sicilians crawling out of a Fiat Cinquecento.
