Well I got a nice NP435 from the scrappies on Saturday so I'm making my measurements to get everything to fit up. My one question is dose anyone know the length of a Chevy 350 bell housing? There's plenty of info on line about bolt patterns but nothing about length.

I know it's not strictly Land Rover but it will be going into my 109.

    Cheers
    Gregor

No sure on the length of the Bellhousing, but look for a cast iron one if you can, and try to find one with the built in mount.

That way you can put a crossmember under the bellhousing if you wish.

I changed to disco axles on my leaf sprung series 109. there is an awesome difference just in the breaking alone. I also do not expect to snap axles even with the tdi

            AXLES

Any pictures of the axle swap? I'm thinking about the same thing in my 109 if I ever finish the mercedes diesel swap.

How did you clear the front leaf springs?
