Tim Slessor drives 'Oxford' again after more than 50 years

There is an update on the First Overland newsletter with a short video.
Not much video but it's kinda' fun.
'First Overland' is the name given to the 1955 Oxford & Cambridge Far Eastern Expedition (London to Singapore in 2 Land-Rovers). The book by Tim Slessor has been a favourite for 50 years, but the film made by Antony Barrington Brown ('BB') for the BBC has rarely been seen. It is now available on DVD, with commentary by the Expedition members.

A Land Rover would never turn up to collect an Oscar. It'd be far too busy doing something important, somewhere, for someone."

Sorry, the title is a bit misleading. It's a replica of Oxford, not quite the real deal but close enough.

      Cheers,
      Tim

Anybody have any idea what happened to the original two trucks? I just finished the book last week.

crashed my firefox browser as well. i copied the link and pasted it into safari, and it was the autoplayer on the flash video that kept tanking it.
