I have a round smiths heater to put in my Series but wondering if it wwwould be better to not mount the stock demisters and use a heated windscreen kit. Anyone ever use heated windscreens in a series? Opinions?

I have had them for a long time. They are really great to have. Even with the mansfield heater from RN it does not defrost as well as the heated windscreens. However, I just went to see about getting another set for the 88'' i am currently restoring and each pane is 400.00. Unfortunately this is more than double of what I paid years back when I bought mine. If you have deep pockets go for it, you wont be disappointed.
BTW, I dont know where you live , but if is somewher that gets a cold winter, the round heater is worthless. If I where you I would spend the 800.00 on upgrading the heater to a mansfield from our host instead of getting the heated windscreen, unless you have the budget to get both.1965 109 2door hardtop (restored years ago)

you can get them far cheaper than that, there was a group buy that was attempted on the G&R board about this a while back do a search there.Comment

Heated Windscreens are available from Ricky Evans Motorsport the leading supplier of motorsport and classic car windscreens
I've had heated windscreens for over a decade now and still love them. The other year I finally got around to removing the demisters. I never need them and they were just dead weight taking up windscreen & instrument panel space.-
