    Towing the serie 3?

Any special attention when towing a series? transfer case in neutral? Or only the gearbox in neutral? I would like to tow it with a "fixed bar" not sure if its the right name in english...So all 4 wheels will stay and roll while towing. I did check in the owners manual but I did find nothing about it. Do I absolutely need to remove both driveshaft to do it?

Removing the driveshafts is the safest way. I usually remove mine at the diff and hang them up. It is really easy to unbolt at the diff and go, just 5-10 minutes of work. If you have free-wheeling hubs like I do in the front it is even easier.

I unlock the front hubs, unbolt four bolts on the rear driveshaft, hang it up. Attach my tow lights and I am ready to go.

The official manual way is transfer case in neutral, gearbox in fourth gear.

But personally I would just disconnect the driveshafts, it is just safer for the drivetrain.....
