    Rookie distributor question

    Hey guys,

Ive just replaced the coil, points, cap, rotor etc on my 1966 Series II. Like an idiot I didnt really pay attention when taking the old ones out and now the truck wont get spark to the plugs. Im trying to figure out what to do with the little insulating washers and the orange wire coming from the condenser and braided black wire from the negative terminal of the coil. Do they touch? Is one insulated from the post and the other touching? Ive tried all combinations and Im throwing my hand up. Suddenly old faithful is refusing to fire and I cant figure out why.
    Please help.
