If you watch eBay you'll eventually see quite a number of accessories that come up that plug into that socket. I recall seeing an tea kettle (can't be without your tea!) and a rather scary looking defroster that I imagine was nothing more than a heating element that you sort of stuck to the windshield. That might be the smoke generator that someone mentioned previously...Comment
