'hauls butt' and 'Series Land Rover' are not two phrases that usually hang out in the same sentence...

              Fun with the 61 today

The coils on my 61 give me a "little more" travel than the springs on my 69... :-)

Found out over the past 2 weeks that 7 cords of log length firewood once cut and split equals 37 loads in a SWB pickup!! Only had to move it from the front yard to the backyard luckily.

We will not be making it this year though we have in the past in a truck we sold last spring. We will instead be going to the annual picnic for little hearts http://www.littlehearts.org/

                            virginia, SIII 109 MOD

greetings! gotta say iam loving my new old land rover. its a 1980 LHD MOD SIII 109. served 12 years with the british royal marines in africa. bought back to states with a sankey trailer stacked in the rear. was owned by 2 active duty service members and iam the 3rd owner. have been having fun tinkering with the clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, and rewiring the fuse panel. did i mention that its a blast to drive? lol anyways hope to learn from the site and learn some tips. (gotta love a vehicle where you dont have to drop a trannie and transfer case to change a clutch!) as for future plans, im going to keep her as she is, lumps and bumps.
