How long is the driveshaft on your SIII 109"?

I got a new driveshaft the other day b/c the whole unit cost the same as buying the two new ujoints that need replacing. But, the driveshaft I received (supposedly LR part STC-573) was 42" long, while the one I am replacing is 40.5" long. Does anyone know the correct part number for a driveshaft for a SIII 109" that is 40.5" long, flange to flange? How long is the driveshaft on your SIII 109"?

    shaft

you either got a great deal On a shaft or someone was trying to shaft you on some ujoints! Sounds like you got a shaft for a rover type rear axle imstead of a salsbury type

It was a great deal on a driveshaft. The catch being it wasn't the right driveshaft...

if you got a deal on the shaft just tale it to a driveline shop and have them knock off a couple inches

I believe you will need to saw out 1.75", to be exact at least that is what I got comparing the S2 and S3 green bibles.

I guess that's an easier/cheaper route than trying to return the driveshaft for a refund and track down the right part?

              vendor

That is probably a question for your vendor/local driveline shop.
