Series Rovers w/ D90 fender flares....

Looking for some pics of Series rovers with D90 fender flares. My rover has the D90 axles so the wheels stand just slightly outside of the fenders. Rocks tend to sling up the side of the rover so I'm considering the fender flare mod. Any tips or suggestions on what modifications need to be done as well as where to find a set?

Here is the rover in question....

I hav disco axles on my 109 and I choose to just use wheels with very little back spacing. they are stock rover wheels I believe mine are early 60's 88 wheels. 16" by the way

Check out Terri Ann's site, i believe you have to have defender fenders in the front for the defender flares to work.

One of our sponsors competitors has some especially for the series. Starts with a D and ends with a P (has an "a" in the middle)

        Or at least they did.

You could possibly get the defender flares and cut your fenders too, if you wanted to go that route.

The Defender and Series have different arch shapes. There are Defender-like flares made for Series, FWIW.....

IMO the immitation flares shaped to fit series arches look pretty cheesy but each to his own. If you are going to do it I would use the true defender items and trim the wings to fit. I think the best example I've seen is on KevinNY's truck seen here.

My old landy LARA. I miss her lots... Good eye-candy for the winter thou. I have loved looking at all the pics :wings:

An alternative would be to rivet a strip of rubber to the wheel arch lip so that it extends out by about 1 - 2". It is far more subtle if you want to maintain the series look and works quite well.

                Cheers

Yeah thats what I plan on doing...no immatation. Thats the only problem is that I really do like the original series look so I've been brainstorming for some different ideas.

Thanks again for all of the suggestions!
