well, I actually got it from a guy in Paxton, Mass who had brought it up with the intention of restoring it last December, but soon lost interest so he was just trying to get rid of it. We bought it for parts (it was on Ebay with no bids!), noting the nice tailgate and perfectly straight body (recently been noticing some bondo here and there on the limestone '67 that I own).

Anyway...he bought it from some guy in Stoystown, Pa.....google it. It's middle of nowhere, it seems

Some of the body panels look OK

I think you should use this as a parts resource and look for one in better shape.

Ugh! Too nice to part out. Forget the rusty parts. Frames can be bought new...bulkheads now too. But once a series rig is parted it's gone for good.

JP what gray is that? Is it a LR color?

                  Momo,

I don't think it has a name. I just picked it out of a color book. I have the paint code somewhere, I can look it up if you want.

                  Bostonian,

Do NOT attempt to start it without first pulling the plugs out and putting some oil or ATF into the cylinders. Spin it over several times, replace plugs, and then try.

Most likely it will not start, without looking at the fuel system. The fuel system is the first thing to go when a vehicle sits.

thanks jp. I'll do that. the previous owner says it turns over, so that is at least good. it should be interesting to see how it fares. I plan on just dumping some fuel in the carb to see if it at least fires....

I have a 1958 Series 1 107 SW that came in Grey. I could be very wrong but someone once said that all the 58 107 SW's came in Grey. It was also used on Rovers delivered to the Royal Navy if I remember correctly.
