flatbed
The transmission died on the way home. I think it sheared the layshaft. I lost first and reverse and the other gears make lots of noise.1968 Land Rover "Park Ranger" camper **SOLD**

Yeah, I love to just sit there and look at Linus's Dormobile for hours & hours.Originally posted by Tim SmithGreat photos!
Oh how I love those dormobiles.
Come to think of it, I just did that for a couple of weeks and never once did I get tired of looking at that lovely Dormie. I look forward to another Dormobile trip with Linus & nikkie.

Oh I have it. Its up on the roof rack. I replaced rusted out wrapped headers with new unwrapped ones just before leaving on the trip. Big difference in the way the Rover behaves on the coast where the highs are around 70 or lower and inland where 100+ was all too common. Vapor lock, vapor lock vapor lock. Especially at low on the trail speeds in hot weather.Originally posted by DaurieTeriAnn, How come no hood?
Looks like you guys had fun!!
My old cast iron exhaust manifolds are looking pretty nice these days. I'll need to get an engine frame mount moved to refit them, but I'm giving it real serious thought. I never noticed the free power plus increased fuel mileage I was supposed to get from headers. All I've noticed is heat and blown header gaskets. Sometimes better may not be better.-
