Realize, the bigger the tire, the more it's gonna cost.

Also, need more information: what width wheels do you have? What kind of tread do you want?

FWIW, I think the 7.5x16 is good for an 88" ; a 235/85R16 is pretty close to that in a modern size (~32"). If you're determined to get up to a 33" tire, look at a 255/85R16.
I don't *know* that a 255/85R16 will work w/ a Series, it could depend on which wheels you have (might be a bit wide if you have the narrower wheels). I suggest staying as narrow as you can w/ a Series, instead of trying to go wide.

you could go 255/85 but they would rub inder articulation, and at full lock. I have 265/75's on stock springs on an 88 and they do the same, but its not bad, and I don't have bump stops.

I don't know where you are located, but if you are interested in some like-new 235/85/16 General Grabber AT 2 tires, drop me a PM. I have a set of 5 and I'm located in north central CT. One has never been driven on. They came on a vehicle that I bought, but I am putting on a set of XZLs.

              Cliff,
Don't know if you saw Daurie's new BFG KM2 tires in an earlier post this wk - if not, there's some good pics posted there. I have some on another vehicle - love 'em. Reasonably quiet, excellent traction in wet. I just had Firestone 235/85-16 Destination M/T installed on my 109. So far I think they're quieter (not as aggressive tread). Both great tires - I'm on stock rims and the 235's were about as big as I'd go size wise.

              cheers!

I'm about to do the same to my Series III, can you post a picture of yours? That would help me determine if its the right set up for me. I appreciate it!
                Thanks-

Where are you getting the XZL's? I wanted some but they appear to be gold belted radials or something maybe platinum even..
