    Found an engine, Rebuilt?

Found a 2.25 here in CT from a disaasembled '68. Lot of green paint(85-90% of it is still there) and the head is red with just as much paint. Turns very nicely and feels like good compression. Pulled valve cover and it all looks pretty good in there. Owner does not know history of engine and has never had it on the road. Is there a way to tell easily if it has been rebuilt or if it has an unleaded head?

unless there is a tag on it, youd have to inspect it.
