    width of a 15" rim

My 88 came with two sets of rims when i got the truck: a set of 16's and a set of 15's. I am using the 16's right now for some road tires and im scoping out possible mud tires for the extra 15's. Would the 15 rims that came stock be able to handle a 33x12.5 tire? I know my turning radius would be oblierated but who needs to turn around when i can crawl over whats in my way?

-of course i could just pull out a tape measure...

If your 15" rims are 8" wide you'd be OK. I run 33x12.5x15 on 15x8 rims on my Heep no problem. Narrower than that would not be recommended.

IIRC the 15" rims are 6" wide. I know my 33X9.50s are a squeeze.
