factory serII tropical roof for a half cab?

did they have a half cab tropical roof from the factory ? I was told someone had seen one at a swap meet , the thought it was home made.

Yes, there was an option for the pickup top that included the "sun shield." The shield was actually a separate option line.

The Rover Company in the US chose to limit options because of availability from the factor. By the time that British Leyland took over the real effort was to meet US light, safety and emissions standards.

Remember that trucks also had a tariff placed on them different that those for cars, and Land Rover pickups were classified as trucks. So the sales here were very limited.
