The best bylaws I ever saw were from Christopher Morley and his Baker Street Irregulars' [Sherlock Holmes] chapter:
1. The President is responsible for all drink
2. The Vice-President is responsible for all food
3. The Treasurer shall collect and disperse funds for food and drink
4. All other business shall be taken up at the Annual Meeting
5. There shall be no Annual Meeting.
