    Rover Green

How does Conniston green compare to Bronze Green? I can't find a comparison on the paint sites. Also, is it available in a DuPont color code?

Bronze Green is definitely just what the name implies - it has a golden or yellowish cast to it, especially in sunlight, but is otherwise a fairly dark green color. Most military trucks came from the factory in Bronze Green, and the firewalls are usually still this color. Conniston Green is a little bit lighter and just green, no goldish haze to it at all. If you search Google images, you'll find examples of both.

Think of Bronze Green as being an olive drab w/o being dull. In a lot of the older paints, it oxidized enough that it dulled and darkened down, not to the point being a flat olive drab, but still a dark green.

I still think of Conniston Green has having a slight pinch of yellow in it, but not enough to make it a yellow-green. I also think of it as a 'variant' of British Racing Green....

I think this should be the DuPont code for Conniston:
      -L

      '60 SII 88" RHD

Thanks! I need to repaint, but I think that bronze green is a little too dark.

FWIW, a fresh coat of bronze green is a lot lighter than an older truck.... the paint really darkened out over the ages.... I don't know if a new modern paint will darken out the way the old paints did, but, the old paints sure did darken.....

Your paint guy should be able to get the right codes. Mine got the correct US bronze green from stock lists.

There are two bronze greens. One is UK specific.
