Series III suffix A transmission dissassembly

I am in the process of dismantling a series III suffix A transmission and have run into the following problems. How do I remove the mainshaft rear seal without a puller? How do I remove the layshaft bearing without a puller?(bearing located on layshaft in bellhousing side, nuts and retainer are removed)
All visible retainers and clips have been removed.
Do I really need a puller or a press?
    Thanks in advance

for the rear seal you can pry it out using a large flat head. Slide it in under the seal on the opposite side you are standing and pus down on the handle or up effectively on the tip if the driver. you can also get a flat head screw driver and hammer and collapse the seal decreasing its outer radium and then pry it out. I use a brass screw driver when working with the aluminum case.

no you can just use a plastic or rubber hammer if you have one, or put the wood handle of a hammer on the edge of the bearing and hit it out with another hammer. just avoid scoring the aluminum.
