After running the truck while in the red, examining every last part of the cooling system, we noticed the truck was not getting hot at all. the IR thermometer read 130 (F) at the temp sender and around 90(F) at the radiator itself. Turns out the new temp sender unit we installed in the summer was bad out of the box!
