Bummer... where abouts are you at? Here in SoCal we have had quite a rash of Series trucks for sale lately.

I'm in Ontario, Canada, but am willing to import (I'd prefer not to, all things being equal, because taxes are high, but for the right truck I will do it). Really what i'm after is a good runner with little to no work required to get it on the road. Also, left hand drive is a must for me, and I will need an overdrive, so one with it already installed is a plus.

There's a terrific organization in Ottawa, the OVLR [Ottawa Valley Land Rover Club], whose members have a LONG history with Series vehicles. They probably know of most of the vehicles for sale anyway.

        Their website is here.

Start with them and take a member along the next time you want to look at a Land Rover. You'll wiind up with a great purchase that way.

BTW, there's a Toronto area Land Rover Club, too, in case you're closer to that region.

Thanks Jeff. I am closer to Toronto (I'm in Guelph, actually).
I've been trying to get on the Ottawa Valley club's web site for a few days now with no luck, it seems to be down. I'll keep trying though.

FYI: OVLR, LRFAQ, etc., are on a server that's currently out-of-service (a bit of a complex story as to it being hosted).

              Should return, soon, hopefully.....

                More specifically, from another board:

"Ben Smith is the owner of the site and is in the process of moving it to a new ISP. Here is the note he sent out to the mendo email list that was also effected. :
Mendo has been hosted on a server by Dixon Kenner since 1998 or so. We've upgraded that linux box 4 or 5 times over the years to different hardware. Bell Canada stopped offering the *DSL service that he's had in 1998 and it's been a legacy every since. About 2 days ago they made an infrastructure change on the Ottawa CO that killed this service. Other remaining customers are also have no service. He's been through 5 different Tech support groups and they admit that there is an issue, claim that he's not their problem and punt him around to the next group. They also are refusing to cancel his service. Without a cancel, he can't subscribe to a new ISP. This may go on for a more days or weeks.

Meanwhile, fourfold.org, OVLR.org, LRFAQ.org, RoverWeb.org, FPLRG.org, etc web sites are down until we can get a new ISP spun up. Ben
